We are getting married on Oct 2nd and we are still looking for someone to perform the ceremony. I live in Hawaii and am unable to do pre-marrital counseling in AK. We are looking for someone who has a good sense of humor, and who is not religion based. Any suggestions??

Get one of your friends to do it. In Alaska ANYONE can perform the ceremony - they just have to get the commission from the courthouse. I think it's free too.

We used a officiant matching service called "An Affair of the Heart" because we are interfaith and coming from out of town too. It matched us to a minister who fit our needs in Girdwood who will be performing our ceremony in August.

It costs $125 to be matched, plus whatever the officiant asks for. After asking tons of people to do it, it was worth it to get someone to find one for us.
